Welcome to my vintage drum lair

My name is Brendan Peleo-Lazar and vintage drums, cymbals, and drum sticks are a passion of mine. Some of the *best* drums of yesteryear were made in my hometown of Chicago, IL including; Ludwig, Slingerland, WFL, some Gretsch, and Leedy... so you can imagine my deep love of collecting and playing this instrument! This drum blog will showcase my drum and cymbal collection, as well as anecdotes and anything else drum related I find interesting about my heroes such as; Bobby Graham, Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts, John Barbata, Jim Keltner, Steve Gadd, Clem Burke, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Earl Palmer, Jon Theodore, Meg White, Jack White, Buddy Saltzman, Gary Chester, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Kenny Jones, Louis Bellson, Mitch Mitchell, D.J Fontana, Snoopy Pfisterer, Jerry Allison, and more! I have been playing for 20 years, and early on I was blessed with a Nov. 1966 Ludwig Club date burgundy sparkle drum kit, and I have not stopped playing since! Every post I make on here will be solely based on the content on hand and I promise I will not ramble on... the first bit of info I want to share is from the link at the top. I had been searching for Carlton brand drums from the UK... mostly because I knew Bobby Graham was a phenomenal session drummer in the 60's and most likely played Carlton drums on Kinks and Dace Clark 5 hits. Thanks Nick Hopkins for the shout out!
